One week until Marathon Monday!

We are only ONE WEEK from the 125th In-Person Boston Marathon! Congratulations to the entire Stepping Strong team for raising over $770K!

Vaccine Verification / COVID Testing

Last week, all registered participants for the in-person 125th Boston Marathon received an email with instructions for scheduling a time to provide proof of vaccination OR scheduling a time for a COVID-19 test. Do NOT forget to schedule your vaccination verification / COVID test – this is mandatory for all runners. Bib pick-up will not be permitted without proof of a complete vaccination series or a negative COVID-19 test and the fastest path to pick up numbers for the 125th Boston Marathon is being fully vaccinated.

Participants who have completed a full series of a WHO-certified COVID-19 vaccination can schedule a time to visit the B.A.A. Vaccine Verification tent in Copley Square (corner of Boylston and Dartmouth Streets). An original paper copy, digital copy, photocopy, or photo of the participant’s vaccination proof is acceptable.

Participants who have not completed a full series of a WHO-certified vaccination can schedule a COVID-19 test in Copley Square (corner of Boylston and Dartmouth Streets). All participants who are tested for COVID-19 will be required to wait approximately 30 minutes for confirmation of their test results.

Important Reminder

In registering for the 125th Boston Marathon, all participants agreed to the B.A.A.’s participant waiver and adhering to COVID-19 guidelines. All participants must be prepared to isolate in accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ guidance and assume all associated fees, including medical expenses and fees associated with isolating and travel in the event of testing positive for COVID-19. All participants and spectators are strongly encouraged to get tested in advance of traveling to Boston and must have a plan for isolation in the event of a positive COVID-19 test.

Did You Know?

Did you know that for the past two years, the world saw a rise in mass casualty incidents in civilian settings? We encourage you to share this fact with your network the next time you send out fundraising emails/texts or post on social media to show WHY funding for trauma research and care is needed and so important.
