IMPORTANT UPDATE re: 20-Mile Training Run

On Saturday, September 18, teammates will have the opportunity to participate in the annual “20-mile” training run. Individuals will run anywhere from 16-21 miles and for many of you this will be your longest run of the season before you start to taper prior to the big day!

Since we last spoke, there has been an update to the long run. The B.A.A. requested that all charity teams do not bus runners to points along the course for the long run. In order to honor the B.A.A.’s request, we will not be doing a bus trip from Boston Common to Framingham. Instead, there are two options for teammates to participate in this training run:

  1. Secure your own transportation to 354 Waverly Street, Framingham (CVS parking lot) and begin the 20-mile run back to Boston Common between 7:45am and 8:15am
  2. Do an out and back from the Boston Common between 7:45am and 8:15am

Please click here to let us know your plans for 9/18 so we can plan accordingly.

Additionally, if you would like to know more about these options, you can review John’s latest email by clicking here or email him at jfurey611@gmail.com.

The Brigham Stepping Strong Team will still have a cheering / water stop at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Chesterfield Road (100 yards up the road from the Newton Fire Department, 1750 Commonwealth Avenue) so we can support you every step of the way back to Boston!
