Mandatory Runner Form: Please complete the form HERE by 4/3 so we have all the information needed for race weekend.

Below are the top takeaways to focus on right now; and don’t worry, I’ll be re-sharing and outlining everything again in detail in the 10 days leading into race weekend:

Top FIVE Meeting Takeaways  

  1. Pep Rally: April 18th at the Revere Hotel from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Up to three (3) family members/friends are welcome to attend!
  2. Bag Check: Drop off your B.A.A. gear check bag during the team pep rally at the Revere Hotel & we will have it for you when you finish your run at the Revere Hotel!
  3. Boston Marathon Expo: April 17-19; Mandatory for all runners. You must bring your government issues photo ID to pick up your bib.
  4. Transportation to Start: Take the B.A.A. buses; board between the Public Gardens and Boston Commons.
  5. Post-Race Meeting Spot: Head over to the Revere Hotel to meet your supporters, grab your gear bag, change, and snap a photo before headed out to celebrate!

18 – 22 Mile Training Run TOMORROW + Team Reminders and Updates

What better way to celebrate last weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day than by CRUSHING your longest run this training season?! A reminder to those coming from out of town, Joint Ventures is located at 660 Beacon Street in Kenmore Square. Doors open at 7:30am, and the run will start at 8:00am. Text Ali at (857)-505-1225 if you have questions or need assistance.

Thursday, March 26Support a Stepping Strong Runner Day

Third Team Fundraising Milestone: $15,000 by April 3 

All runners who raise $15,000+ by April 3 will receive a B.A.A. Celebration Finishers Jacket or any previous incentive for our third fundraising milestone!! That’s right, our team is offering to buy YOU your Boston Marathon Celebration/Finishers Jacket if you raise $15,000+ by April 3 at 11:59pm. If you qualify, our team will reach out for sizing and will coordinate shipping/pick up race weekend.

B.A.A. Announcement – Youth Mile on Saturday, April 18

The B.A.A. is excited to share that registration is now open for the B.A.A. Youth Mile, a fun and free race for kids ages 7–14 on Saturday, April 18!

This new event gives young runners the unforgettable opportunity to run 1 mile on the iconic Boston Marathon course and cross the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street – just like the pros! All participants receive a finisher medal, and the course is designed to be exciting and family-friendly.

THREE Important Dates Coming Up! 

Saturday, March 21: 18 – 22 Mile Training Run

The longest training run of the season is scheduled for THIS Saturday, March 21! For many of you, this will be your longest run of the season, but don’t worry, you’ll have our team and plenty of fans cheering you on with a Stepping Strong water stop along the way!

What events are scheduled for the Stepping Strong Team over marathon weekend?  

  • Saturday, April 18: Team Pep Rally at Revere Hotel
  • Wednesday, April 22: We Did It Wednesday! (virtual) 

Do I have to go to the Boston Marathon Expo?

What items are allowed and/or prohibited on race day?  

    Will you provide any to go breakfast items or nutrition on race morning? 

    • Race morning nutrition is the responsibility of the runner. You will be able to take a one-gallon clear plastic bag to carry food items or sports drinks only on the buses (bag will be provided in your participant packet).  

    How does transportation to Hopkinton work?  What if I live in/by Hopkinton?

    • We will discuss this in more detail at our final team meeting on March 24th

    Where can my spectators see me on race day?  

      What is the course like?   

      • If you have additional questions about the course, email team coach John Furey or ask alumni in Strava!  

      Where will family members be able to meet me after I have finished the race? 

      • You have two options to meet with your family after the race; the Post Race Place at the Revere Hotel and/or the B.A.A. Family Meeting Area. More details will be shared at our final team meeting on March 24th
