Marathon Team Updates #11

Questions about donations, matches, checks, etc.

We ask that all teammates email us at marathonteam@bwh.harvard.edu with any questions or updates about all thing’s donations! This ensures we can streamline the information and support you the best we can. We were notified that Kiran Rai, our Director of Gift Processing, is receiving emails we aren’t, leaving us in the dark! Please ensure you email us and review all the details via the runner portal document ‘Donations Overview and Toolkit’.

We kindly ask that you do not email Kiran Rai individually. Her email should only be used for an electronic matching gift form if needed. Read more about matching gifts here.

Fundraising Tip of the Week

Organizing a fundraising event is a great opportunity to establish a personal connection with donors face-to-face! For example, explore hosting an event at a local bar or restaurant. You could charge admission or collaborate with the establishment to prepare a signature drink and donate a percentage of the proceeds to your fundraising page. But remember, events also don’t have to be fancy or big! Consider hosting a fun dinner party in the comfort of your home and ask guests to donate for a delicious meal. When extending invitations, be sure to include your fundraising link. This thoughtful touch ensures that even those unable to attend can still contribute to your goal!

Fundraising Check-In Calls

Reminder that our team is hosting bi-weekly fundraising check-in calls through Friday, April 5 to support YOU! While not mandatory, these are a great chance to check-in with us and make sure you feel prepared for your marathon fundraising. CLICK HERE to sign up
