QPR Suicide Prevention Training

In the United States, nearly 50,000 people died by suicide in 2021. There were an estimated 1.7 million suicide attempts, and an additional 3.5 million people planned a suicide. Suicide is a leading yet preventable cause of death. Knowing the warning signs and how to help someone at risk can save a life. Based on the QPR model, an evidence-based program that teaches participants to Question someone who may be at risk of suicide, Persuade them to get help, and Refer them to the appropriate resources, you could help save a life.

The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma Innovation offers trainings to empower individuals to intervene and help prevent suicide and you, along with any family or friends you would like to join, are invited to our virtual training with Cheryl Lang on February 12 at 6pm.
