Marathon Madness Winners + Team Updates #10

Marathon Madness Challenge Winners

Congratulations to our January Marathon Madness winners! Neila C. raised the most money and Michael B. received the most donations. You have some Stepping Strong swag heading your way!

With our first two winners awarded, another month of the Marathon Madness Fundraising Challenge has arrived with two more chances to win if you receive the most donations or raise the most in the month of February! Don’t forget that on 4/1 (the championship!) the individual who raised the most money and the individual who received the most donations over the course of the three-month challenge will each receive a custom Stepping Strong YETI! Please note that if you are fundraising with other runners on a ‘team,’ the totals will be divided among the number of people you are fundraising with. Sign up for a fundraising check in call by clicking here if you need ANY help with your fundraising!

To increase your fundraising success, don’t forget to:

IMPORTANT SATURDAY LONG RUN NOTICE

On 2/3, there will be no access to the Joint Ventures facility before or after Saturday’s run. JV is moving to 660 Beacon St this weekend (approximately 50 ft to the right). John will still have the run as scheduled and asks that you plan to arrive to Kenmore Square around 8am and start running. Be sure to check out Coach John’s latest email or his website for more information.

B.A.A. Registration

B.A.A. registration emails were sent yesterday! Charity teammates should have received an email from the B.A.A. to complete your registration and pay the $375 registration fee. A friendly reminder that this fee does not count towards your fundraising efforts and MUST be completed by Wednesday, February 7 at 5 PM – please ignore any other deadlines mentioned. If you did not receive it, please check your spam/junk folder, and then inform marathonteam@bwh.harvard.edu ASAP.

QPR Suicide Prevention Training

Because of YOUR incredible fundraising efforts, a series called “Emergency Responder Trainings,” has enabled The Gillian Reny Stepping Strong Center for Trauma to train thousands of people in different emergency situations. The Stepping Strong Center invites you, along with any family, friends, or donors, to join Cheryl Lang on February 12 at 6pm EST for a virtual training on how to empower individuals to intervene and help prevent suicide. We hope you will join us! RSVP for the QPR virtual training by clicking here

If have any questions, please contact marathonteam@bwh.harvard.edu.
